Report to local police immediately, then contact the Ghana High Commission London. An Emergency Travel Certificate (ETC) can be issued within 1-3 working days for urgent travel.

If a Ghanaian citizen is arrested or detained in United Kingdom, they have the right to contact the Ghana High Commission London. The embassy can visit detainees, provide a list of local lawyers, and notify family members in Ghana.

The embassy can help contact family in Ghana, liaise with medical providers, and assist with insurance claims where applicable.

The embassy assists with registering the death, repatriation of remains, and liaising with families and funeral homes.
