Water & Food Safety
Water
- Do not drink tap water — use sealed bottled water (Voltic, Awake, Verna)
- Sachet water (pure water) from branded producers is generally safe
- Carry water purification tablets for rural areas
- Avoid ice unless from trusted hotels
Food
- Freshly cooked hot food is generally safe — banku, fufu, kelewele, jollof
- Choose busy chop bars with high turnover
- Avoid raw salads and unpeeled fruit in budget places
- Hand sanitiser before every meal
